Thanks for the remarkable writeup! It motivates us to continue to produce a great service by reading things like this.

As for the comment about becoming Guru and being a Guru of odd things - once you express your interest in an item (liking, commenting and replying) you are eligible to become the Guru. After that, the individual with the deepest level of interaction around the item is recognized as the Guru. Hope this helps!

ha-ha :-) I love the plasters story - very familiar. In fact that's one sure way of keeping my kids happy for an hour - give them a packet of plasters and some cuddly animals and they'll play quietly for a long time.

Thanks so much! I know what you mean about it feeling like random things you're the Guru of. It seems that way to me sometimes as well. But the really neat thing is that I actually won something yesterday because of it! I was so excited! So, it really does help! And yes, I too spend a lot of extra time just clicking like and dislike.

I'm on Glue (as you know!) but I'm not nearly as sure what to do with is as you are. I am the guru of four things, but they seem so random and randomly selected that it is difficult to feel truly distinguished. However, it is a fun site/tool, and I often find myself losing much more time than I intended simply approving and disapproving of things. File it under: still experimenting.

Great post, BTW.
