By day, I’m a teacher, and I’ll be done with my master’s degree in May (can’t wait!). I enjoy knitting, cooking and being creative. Oh, and I have a cat!
My favorite book when I was growing up was Man O’ War by Walter Farley. I had a pretty serious infatuation with horses and horse racing for years and I read this story over and over again. I think I was personally responsible for the library not getting rid of the only copy because I checked it out so often. Even now, when a chance comes up to donate a copy of this book to a charity or organization, I pick up a copy and make it happen.

“A couple of things, first off, way to go for supporting your local library and/or charity! It’s so neat to see what an impact a book can have on someone and how it can last through a lifetime of reading opportunities. And secondly, thank you for reminding me of one of my favorite characters of all time, the Black Stallion. It’s funny how just a mention of a certain book can bring back memories you may have forgotten. Now I’m definitely going to have to go read Man O’ War.
“Besides these first couple of points I must say that What Book is That? is a fabulous site. I love that Emily covers so many different genres and that for the most part they are all books she really loves to talk about, whether she liked it or not. I will say, she does review quite a few more mature books which she titles under ‘scandalous books‘ with this supremely cute logo:
“I love it! As someone who doesn’t read a whole lot of books that fit this category it’s nice to see, because not only is it cute, but it’s functional. Such a great idea! Not only that, but Emily’s ‘Keep Calm and Have a Cupcake’ logo (above) is perfect! I love her site and highly recommend checking it out! You will love the reviews and find some wonderful new books you may have never heard of. You don’t know what you’re missing until you do!”

LOL. I love the ‘scandalous’ icon. Definitely a good (yet cute) fit. I’ll definitely be swinging over to this site to have a looksie…and as far as the wide range of reviews..hey, variety is the spice of life! Thanks for sharing…and great post! Happy reading…
Gina´s last blog ..Be Mine…or NOT: The Anti-Valentine’s Handbook by J. More
I love the variety! It’s great and nice to see something different than “the norm”. Thanks!
