There's A Book

This fabulous weekly recap is hosted by Shelia of One Persons Journey Through a World of Books. Each week we recap what we’ve read and look at what’s coming up this week. If you’re interested head over to Shelia’s site and get involved! It’s a blast and I may even stop by to see what you’re up to!

Here’s what we’ve been up to this week:

Well, last week went by in a blur. It was Book Blogger Appreciation Week and I was fortunate enough to win in the category of Best Kid Lit Book Blogger. Thank you thank you thank you! I have the most amazing group of readers here and I’m so grateful for all of your support. BBAW was an incredible week and I honestly can’t wait for another year, it’s going to be fantastic! (Sorry, I promise not to flash the image anymore, but I had to show everyone one last time:)

Best KidLit Book Blog

I was also interviewed this week by the lovely Nicole from Linus’s Blanket for her radio show “That’s How I Blog!“. It was a fantastic experience and I can’t wait to meet Nicole in person someday. Thank you again Nicole!

Outside of that, I had the amazing opportunity of attending the Central Coast Writer’s Conference this weekend. I was able to meet authors Kathleen Duey (she’s brilliant by the way and you NEED to read her books!), Jay Asher (13 Reasons Why, also amazing), Merrily Kutner, Anne R. Allen and many many more! I also had the privilege of being Nathan Bransford‘s “greeter” for the weekend. He’s just as personable and open as he is on his site, I had a fantastic time getting to “tag along” with him for most of the conference; not to mention, his keynote speech was fantastic!

That’s pretty much it for my week, how was yours?
