There's A Book

Book Publishers 101 is a new feature here at There’s A Book! Each month we will spend an entire month highlighting one of our favorite book publishers. What this means for you…a chance to get to know a publisher you may have not known before with a “behind the scenes” look, an opportunity to “link-up” posts you might have from the featured publisher, guest posts, author interviews, a look at their newest titles and of course a chance to win some great books! We know you will enjoy getting to know these amazing publishers and hope that you’ll learn something you may have not already known!

Our Publisher 101 Featured Publisher for the month of November is:

Peachtree Publishers

Peachtree Publishers is an independently owned trade book publisher, specializing in quality children’s books, from picture books to young adult fiction and nonfiction; consumer references in health, education, and parenting; and regional guide books about the American South, where the company is based. Our mission is to create books that captivate and educate young and old readers alike, with well-crafted words and pictures.

This happens to be one of my all-time favorite publishers. From the very beginning of my site they were right there to help and offer book to my readers when very few other publishers would. Not only that, but their books are fantastic. Truly, I should know, our background here was created by one of their illustrators, non-other than Jenny Mattheson from the popular book No Bows! written by Shirley Smith Duke! In addition to that we’ve reviewed many Peachtree books that have no become household “must-haves” including, A Place for Frogs by Melissa Stewart and A Tree for Emmy by Mary Ann Rodman. It’s no doubt you’re in for a treat this month and I couldn’t be more excited to feature this favorite of our home, Peachtree Publishers!

Make sure to stop by these sites to connect directly with them!

Oh, Peachtree Publishers….so great that they are being featured! They are certainly among my favorites actually as the books they offer always have a little something unexpected, but in a good way. Can’t wait to see the upcoming posts. ^_^

  4. I love the background by Jenny Mattheson…how it all connects and looks like one page and no side bars! Her imagination is awesome!

Great idea to do a publisher a month…is there any way you can also put in the literary agent who promoted the books for the authors?

Thanks for the article and your beautiful Jenny-ized blog!!
