There's A Book

As I’ve mentioned quite a bit recently, we love Candlewick Press! Well, not too long ago we received a rather lovely and quite cuddly reading buddy, a Candlewick Bear (as I have also mentioned previously). Our bear now has a marvelous name, Sam, and takes up residence most often in the “reading chair” in Littlebug’s room. Although Sam has been known to go traveling quite often. Earlier today he made his way to the couch to read a good book with the Turkeybird…

I’m sure you recognize a couple of fantastic books! (Just in case: Skit-Scat Raggedy Cat: Ella Fitzgerald by Roxane Orgill and Yummy Yucky & No No Yes Yes by Leslie Patricelli)

Now, because Candlewick Press is the amazing publisher they happen to be, they are offering another three (3) readers of There’s A Book their chance to win their very own “Sam.” Although, if you win, you can name him whatever you’d like! Thank you Candlewick!

Now, generally speaking, I don’t do “extra entries” for my contests, but I thought that some of you may want as many chances as possible to win one of these cuddly guys! So, I’ll give you up to five extra entries for every Candlewick Press book you can name that you’ve read, seen, bought, thought about buying, loved, etc. That’s it! You don’t have to do this to enter, but I thought it would be fun. And at the end of the month when I post the winners, I’ll share the book names as well! Now for the details…

Details: Three individual winners (3) will be chosen at random after the contest closes. You MUST fill out the form below, comments will not count as entries. Only one entry per household. Giveaway is open to US/Canada Residents only. The giveaway will run from February 08, 2011 until February 27, 2011 midnight EST. The winner will be announced in the closing post for Book Publishers 101 this month, on February 28, 2011.

This giveaway is now closed, please check back soon for more giveaways!

I just want to say that I’ve always been a big fan of these bears. They are just wonderful. Really well-made, a good size, very huggable. I keep one at my desk and I dress him up in my accessories. No joke! πŸ™‚

Good luck to all the contestants!

What a great giveaway! My fingers, toes, arms, and legs are all crossed! It’s not hard to come up with favorites from Candlewick Press. They’ve got some of the best books out there and they are all are so beautifully produced. The challenge is limiting myself to five pick!

Thanks for hosting this contest! πŸ™‚

  3. Gina says:

Love the contest…and that picture is just perfect! I love how “Sam” has his little glasses on and is reading too. A great companion for readers of all ages. ^_^ Thanks for hosting!

  4. Yes…Another chance to win! Cool pic too.

  5. Callista says:

Aww that’s cute. I won’t be entering though as we already have Rob Bear who may be even bigger, it’s hard to tell. He’s not from Candlewick but we definitely don’t have room for 2 large bears!

I love Candlewick books and would love to review for them someday.

I’m in love! I have a 5 year old granddaughter who would love this guy, too… but she might have to fight me for him!

Thank you for the contest you are offering. I have never seen these stories to read to my grandchildren.
