February’s Read-to-Me Picture Book Challenge Link-Up

This is the place to come for the month of February to link-up any and all of your picture book reviews you’ve posted during the month!

First of all…Congratulations go to #20 – Lori from Keeping it Simple with her review of Stellaluna by Janell Cannon who is January’s winner!

The Details:

  • Make sure that before you link-up your reviews you’ve signed up for the challenge as outlined on the challenge page. (If you have not, I reserve the right to delete your entry.)
  • Anyone, even non-bloggers can participate. Open worldwide.
  • Non-bloggers can link to their reviews posted on Goodreads, Shelfari, LibraryThing, or Amazon. (If you need help with this please feel free to email me at the1stdaughter {at} gmail {dot} com.)
  • Link as many reviews as you’d like throughout the month. Each link to *review(s)* will enter you into the monthly prize drawing. (Only reviews will count toward the drawing, not just listings of what you are reading. Sorry! We want to hear what you though about the books. <3)
  • Monthly prize drawing is open to all participants, worldwide, and one winner will be chosen at random and will be posted on the 2nd day of the month following (ie. March 2nd for this month). So please make sure to link any reviews you’d like counted for the month before the last day of the month (February 28, 2011).

What’s up for grabs this month for participants?

Last month the highly anticipated Randolph Caldecott Medal was awarded to A Sick Day for Amos McGee by Philip C. Stead and illustrated by Erin E. Stead. So, in honor of that announcement. This month I will be selecting two winners to receive their very own copy of this award winning book!

That’s it! Get linking and make sure to take a look around at the other reviews posted for more great ideas on what picture books to pick up next. I know I’m going to be stopping by just to add to our TBR pile!

Purchasing products by clicking through the links in this post will provide us a modest commission through our affiliate relationship with IndieBound.

Finally posted a few more reviews after a few days off… getting ready to March …..

  3. Uly says:

Whoo, squeezing in at the last minute! I’ve barely been able to get a book in edgewise because every time *I* sit down with books for the girls the older girl takes out HER book and the younger one decides to read with Ana instead of me!

  4. We were WAY down on picture books this month … we only shared one: Climbing Lincoln’s Steps. The review isn’t up yet … will be back when it is.

  5. Katie says:

We read a Sick Day for Amos McGee after checking it out from the library, and I hope we win. It was wonderful!

My February posts included books 14 through 56 out of my 200. (My full list is here.)
