There's A Book

The Quiet Book by Deborah Underwood and Illustrated by Renata Liwska

There are many kinds of quiet:
Quiet can be delicate.
Quiet can be thundering!
Quiet can be sweet,
and cozy,
and can most definitely help you fall asleep.

With kid-centric descriptions and irresistible artwork, this gentle picture book explores all the different quiets that can fill a child’s days from morning to night.

The second in the series: The Loud Book

Read our review of The Loud Book as well as a very funny interview the Turkeybird did with Deborah Underwood!

Last year you had a reading challenge. I’m not sure we did it like you were hoping eveyone would, I wanted to let you know you encouraged me to set reading goals for our six and four year olds who enjoy books. They are both good readers and are getting better as time goes on. I have decided to do it again this year but to make monthly goals instead. When I was a little girl I would rather be in a tree than in a book and school was not my friend, but our kids are doing well in school (we home school and our six year old is finishing up 1st grade while our 4 year old is finishing up Kindergarden) and they love to pour over books as well as play with toys. So, thank you for giving me another avenue to help our kids learn to love to read. Our son enjoys mystery and God focused books, just about any I give him. Our daughter enjoyes girly books, where a girl is the main charactor and God focused books. It’s great to see them grow in this area and to track their reading progress. *smile* Have a blessed day, and thanks again. Sincerely, Mommy of two little blessings & so much more!
