There's A Book

Over a year and a half ago I participated in my first Bloggiesta and it was an event that catapulted my blog from stale to exciting! It was my first “real” book blogging event online and it proved to be an experience to remember. I made countless friends, found resources I never knew existed and even hosted a mini-challenge. So, when I heard that Natasha from Maw Books Blog was looking for a new host I knew that I absolutely wanted to be a part of it. Fortunately for me I wasn’t the only one to feel this way.

After a lot of planning and emailing I finally get to announce that along with the fabulous Suey from It’s All About Books that we’ll be co-hosting the Bloggiesta event going forward! I’m beyond excited because doing it alone sounded terrifying and Suey is one of my absolute favorite book bloggers ever. It’s going to be fantastic!

Now, I know some of you may be wondering what exactly is Bloggiesta and/or when is it? In short, itโ€™s a blogging marathon revolving around ticking off those items on your to-do list and improving your blog while in the good company of other awesome bloggers doing the same thing. Our awesome mascot Pedro (Plan. Edit. Develop. Review. Organize), who Natasha graciously handed over, is ready to break out the nachos, enchiladas, drinks, mariachi music and whack a pinata or two! Itโ€™s nothing short of an awesome fiesta!

We’ve got a few topics being thrown around like these:

SEO for Dummies
How to use Pinterest to promote your blog
How to put star ratings in your review posts
HTML Basics
Protecting your blog – Copyrighting
Much much more!

Last but not least, the dates! Here are the important dates to mark on your calendars:

Bloggiesta Event: March 30, 31 & April 1
Challenge Host Sign-ups Start: Tues. Feb. 28th
Participant Sign-ups Start: March. 1st

Again, thank you so much to Suey for being an amazing co-host and to Natasha especially for getting this incredible event started. I’m honored and thrilled to be helping to take over the reins!

So, will you be joining Suey and I for Bloggiesta March 2012?
