There's A Book

Every Friday by Dan Yaccarino

No day is better than Friday!
Friday is my favorite day.

All week long, a boy and his father look forward to their Friday ritual–breakfast at their favorite diner. The leisurely walk through the neighborhood is just as good as the pancakes at the end.
Dan Yaccarino’s bright, distinctive art style and sweet, simple story about father-son bonding make Every Friday an all-around crowd-pleaser. The weekly tradition will appeal to children who have similar routines with their parents, and kids who don’t have such a tradition will be asking their dads to start one! It’s a perfect gift book, too–just in time for Father’s Day.

Author/Illustrator Dan Yaccarino is a favorite of our family. We’ve read nearly every one of his books, reviewed his book Good Night Mr. Night, but this is by far our favorite. It was even the inspiration for a weekly outing between my hubby and the Turkeybird. If you aren’t familiar with Yaccarion’s work I’d highly recommend any of the following:

I’ve never even heard of Dan Yaccarino, but all of the covers you posted look fantastic! As in, I would like to frame some of them as art in the little b’s room. Especially Boy + Bot and Jacques Cousteau 🙂 I love the idea of giving Every Friday to my husband for Father’s Day. What a sweet suggestion.
