There's A Book

Hippopposites by Janik Coat

Behold: an opposites book like no other. Simple pairings of words, both expected (small/large) and unexpected (clear/blurry), are humorously illustrated with a graphic and lovable red hippopotamus. Bold colors and surprising die-cuts and textures spice up this elegantly engaging board book.

Yesterday I was alerted to this delightful little board book by none other than Betsy Bird at A Fuse #8 Production and I couldn’t be more excited! Not only did a good friend let me know Betsy had linked to my blog (thank you!), but after reading through the post I discovered we have some more book shopping to do. I cannot wait! This one is perfect for Littlebug and her friends, so I’m eager to see how they enjoy it.

Need more board book recommendations? I’d highly recommend reading Betsy’s post, Board Books 2012: What Works. What Doesn’t. I have no doubt you’ll find a great new board book for the little one in your life!
