There's A Book

Today marks the opening of the very first Independent Book Blogger Awards hosted by Goodreads!

Goodreads primary purpose as stated on their site is to “highlight the amazing talent in book blogging today.”

Not only am I thrilled by this wonderful addition to the world of books, but I’m excited for the opportunity it provides to connect authors, readers, bloggers and more with books they will love. Not only being an avid reader myself, but having two small kiddos who also devour books like candy I know exactly how tough it can be to find that one book. What these awards provide is yet another chance to connect with like-minded folks who can and will put that one book in your hands. I love it!

Now, because it’s also an awards program with a very generous prize (a paid trip to the annual Book Expo America conference in NYC) to be given away there’s also another element of it that I’d like to bring to your attention…voting! I’m not normally one to toot my own horn, honestly. All you have to do is ask my mom and you’ll know I tend to lean too far in the modesty category. Well, I’m not going to this time! I’d love to have your vote and would desperately appreciate it. Why should you vote for me and There’s A Book:

There you have it! I rarely ask for favors, but this one would be huge to myself and my family. So please, if you have two minutes follow the link below to vote for There’s A Book and thank you in advance for all of your support, now and always!

GREAT POST Danielle and best of luck to you! To others reading this…yes, if you didn’t know, she (and the kidlits) are fabulous bloggers. You can’t go wrong with a vote for her site. ^_^

    • I only wish we didn’t have to compete against each other for this! Wish picture books/children’s books were in a separate category.

Good luck to you as well! Your site is amazing and you work so so hard for everything, I absolutely wish you the very best of luck. I’d love to see you at BEA! :)

  2. Maria says:

    Hooray! And voted. Good luck!

  3. Thanks so much for the shout-out, Danielle! I hope we both win and get to go to Expo together (Gwen, too. Her blog is awesome.)

Yeah, now I see the Captcha. It’s way cooler than unreadable letters. :-)

    • You are so welcome Anne! I would love to both be there together, what an experience! Best of luck to you!!! :)

And yay! Glad you figured out the captcha. I’ve been having spam issues and hate the normal captcha, this one is so much more fun. ;)
