There's A Book

Last year when I was able to take part in the cover reveal for the first series in this series, Embrace by Jessica Shirvington, I was beyond thrilled. Ever since then and even for quite a while before the cover reveal I’ve been on pins and needles waiting for the next book in the series to be published. Well, the wait is almost over! In fact, I’m hoping to pick up my copy of Entice next week at Book Expo America!!! Until then, I am delighted to say I have the privilege of revealing the cover for the second book in the series, Entice! Take a look:

This cover is so much more gritty and realistic than the last book in the series, but I can’t help but like them both! In a recent conversation the cover designer, Leah Hultenschmidt was asked why they decided to go with this cover and her response was this,

“For Entice, we really wanted to have the cover reflect the darker edge of the story and Violet’s toughness.”

It’s evident from the books synopsis as well that this new book in the series is going to be a much rougher and a bit more dark than the previous, which sounds great! It also still includes one of the only love triangles I’m interested in reading about in young adult books out right now! Just take a look at the full synopsis and tell me you aren’t curious…

Seventeen-year-old Violet Eden’s is back! With a destiny is to protect humans from the vengeance of exiled angels it becomes clear that it won’t be easy as even her partner, Lincoln, is hiding something. And now she has to learn to live with her feelings for him while they work together to stay alive and stop the exiles from discovering the key to destroy all Grigori. It isn’t easy. Especially when the electricity between her and Phoenix ignites and she discovers his hold over her has become more dangerous than ever. Violet’s power will be pushed to the extreme with a race halfway across the world to find the one artifact that could tilt the balance of power between Angels and Exiles. And the ultimate betrayal will be exposed.

This is going to be a fantastic addition to the Embrace series and Entice is one book on the very top of my must-reads list for 2012! As an added bonus to my readers Sourcebooks has provided not only the cover reveal but an opportunity to read the first two chapters of Entice! This is something I utitilize more and more as I review, because it really does give you a chance to whet your appetite which also helps you decide if it’s the right book for you. So definitely take advantage of this great opportunity and check out the first two chapters of Entice by Jessica Shirvington!

Last but not least take a look at this fun little video of the author, Jessica Shirvington, as she shares her favorite reading spot and what she’s reading! (So thrilled to hear she’s also a Charlaine Harris!)

So, Entice by Jessica Shirvington comes out September 4th, will you be picking it up?

Make sure to add it to your Goodreads Shelf as well!

One Response to Cover Reveal: Entice by Jessica Shirvington

  1. I like this one. Not sure about the tattoo thing near her arm. Otherwise it’s a win.
