There's A Book

This fabulous weekly recap is hosted by Shelia of One Persons Journey Through a World of Books and the kidlit version is hosted by Jen from Teach Mentor Texts. Each week we recap what we’ve read and look at what’s coming up this week. If you’re interested head over to Shelia’s site as well as Jen’s and get involved! It’s a blast and I may even stop by to see what you’re up to!

Here’s what we’ve been up to this week:

Well, I’m officially sick of having allergies! I’m now sick thanks to going outside on Saturday (the first time in two weeks I’d left the house for more than ten minutes). So, here’s to hoping the weather sorts itself out soon! On a positive note I did finish two books today! Yay!

Also, on Friday I shared my first ever Reader Survey! I’m really excited about this and have been loving all the feedback so far. I’d love to hear from more There’s A Book readers, so if you haven’t filled it out already please do! There’s even an Amazon Gift Card giveaway to go along with it as a small incentive. Thanks in advance for filling it out!

  5. The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight and This Is Not A Test have always looked like great reads. Hope you’ve enjoyed/ are enjoying them. :)

  6. Hannahlily says:

It sounds like you enjoyed The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight as much as I did. Such a fun novel. I can’t wait to read One for the Murphys after your stellar review! I need to read Splendors and Glooms as well. I was so excited to recieve the ARC! Can’t wait to hear what you think of that one as well as This is Not a Test which is also on my TBR list.

  7. Megan says:

I really enjoyed This is Not a Test. Courtney Summers is a powerful writer.

  8. Hm… Splendors and Glooms sounds very interesting!! I’ll have to see if my library has that :)

  9. Nice nice. Good stuff coming.

I’m listening to two books. Night Circus (still) and Lucy in the Sky.

    Good luck with your allergies.

Oooo! I really like the cover of Splendors and Glooms. Here’s what I’m up to.

  12. Lindset says:

Purity sounds like it has a lot of potential. It’s such a fine line between exploring faith and doubt and mocking it. I hope it’s a great read for you.

  13. Jen says:

I have a few of those books to read myself! I wish I had more time! This time of year is super hard especially because things are just so busy and then the weather is so nice so we try to spend as much time as we can outside with the kiddos which usually means running around the backyard versus reading quietly. It is what it is. :)

  14. Nicole says:

Wow!!! I really want to read Purity, One of the Murphys and that Statistical book!!! Thanks for posting reviews. very excited!

  15. Pussreboots says:

My favorite read last week was the audio of On the Beach by Nevil Shute. Please come see what else I’m reading. (And I found my missing book!)

  19. PragmaticMom says:

I LOVED One for the Murphys too! I have a pile of books to read and just need to figure out how to carve out some time. I am reading Magic Treehouse books with my son but other than that, have to pick from the pile.

  20. Gina says:

Congrats on the week just finished…and here’s to the week ahead! Loving the look of those titles, can’t wait to dive into the reviews. Happy reading!
