There's A Book

Today is the first day of the nine week long celebration leading up to the Ivy and Bean Blog-A-Bration Day which happens on October 13, 2012!

This series is fantastic and one of my absolute favorites! It’s one of those book sets that you can’t wait to share with your kiddos when they get a little older. Ivy and Bean are a hilarious duo and it’s all thanks to their brilliant author Annie Barrows and the very talented illustrator Sophie Blackall. Not too long ago the Turkeybird interviewed Annie Barrows and I guarantee you’ll be cracking up within the first couple of questions.

Now, as for kicking off of the celebrations…Chronicle Books has generously offered a new giveaway each week starting today! Each week one paperback book and three sets of Ivy and Bean Mini Notes will be up for grabs. This week…Ivy and Bean #1:

The moment they saw each other, Bean and Ivy knew they wouldn’t be friends. But when Bean plays a joke on her sister, Nancy, and has to hide quickly, Ivy comes to the rescue, proving that sometimes the best of friends are people never meant to like each other. Vibrant characters and lots of humor make this a charming and addictive introduction to Ivy and Bean.

At the end of the nine week celebration there will be a Grand Prize selected from all of the previous winners from all of the participating blogs! Be sure to stop by each of the blogs below to enter and possibly win this huge Grand Prize:

  • A complete set of Ivy and Bean hardcover books signed by Annie Barrows
  • 1 set of Ivy and Bean Paper Dolls
  • 1 Ivy and Bean Button Factory
  • 1 Ivy and Bean READ Poster signed by Annie Barrows
  • Set of Ivy and Bean Silly Bandz
  • Set of Ivy and Bean stickers
  • AND – a super-secret really cool prize we’re working on (stay tuned!)
