There's A Book

Mine! by Shutta Crum and Illustrated by Patrice Barton

Have you ever had a toy you really really liked? Have you ever had a lot of toys you really really liked?
Have you ever said “MINE!”?
If so, this book is for you!
Enjoy this adorable, playful, picture-based book about two very young children and an adorable dog navigating the troubles and triumphs of sharing.

Shutta Crum is an author I’m familiar with because of her middle grade book Thomas and the Dragon Queen, which I loved! Recently I was looking through some board book releases and discovered that her picture book Mine! had recently been released in board book format. Not only do I love the premise and the author behind the book, but the illustrations are gorgeous. In fact, Patrice Barton‘s artwork so impressed the SCBWI organization that they recently awarded her the Crystal Kite award. Which is certainly no small feat! I’d highly recommend picking up this board book for the little ones in your life, I’m positive you won’t be disappointed!
