There's A Book

Entice

Today I’m thrilled to be hosting my favorite character from the Embrace Series, Violet. Now, you may ask why I’d be hosting a character from a book series? First of all, I’m excited to be a part of the Entice Me Day celebrations going on right now that are leading up to the publication of Entice by Jessica Shirvington on September 15th, tomorrow! Secondly, this is by far one of my favorite YA series to date! Both of the first two books have kept me up well well after my bedtime (I’ll say past three in the morning actually) and it has everything to do with the characters, namely VIOLET. So, lets get into a little about who she is and then I have a surprise directly from the author!

Violet Eden

Future plans: About to change …

Supernatural status: TBA

Strengths known to date: TBA

Now, a little from Jessica Shirvington herself, the author of the Embrace series (BTW, I think this is best viewed on the There’s A Book site directly because the water flows quite well with the background, but that’s just me.):

Becoming the Person You Are Destined to Be

Kickboxing, marathon training, rock climbing—Violet Eden is not a girl to mess with. What she wanted for her future was an art scholarship and to finally have her kickboxing trainer look at her as more than a friend. What she got instead was a gift from her long-dead mother and a complicated web of folklore and mythology, angels and exiles, and a central role in the eternal battle between light and dark.

And then there’s Phoenix. And Lincoln. Both guys pretty high on the hotness scale. But Violet isn’t exactly a swooning kind of girl.

Vi has two rules: I don’t run and I don’t quit. When angels seek vengeance and humans are the warriors, you could do a lot worse than betting on her. Violet is the perfect blend of light and shade—the new hope in an endless war. And she’s not afraid to kick some ass.

From the famous Sydney Opera House, Jessica talks about the character she knows better than she knows herself!

Ahhh! I love this video so so much! I love that Jessica mentions how Violet grows and changes because that’s one of the many things I love about her character. She’s a normal girl and nothing she’s experiencing is all that normal. She makes mistakes and learns. I think that has a lot to do with why she’s so easy to relate to. Thank you to Jessica for the great video and insight!

Violet Eden is Grigori – part angel, part human. Her destiny is to protect humans from the vengence of exiled angels.
Knowing who to trust is key but, when Grigori reinforcements arrive, it becomes clear everyone is hiding something. Even Lincoln. The only thing Violet does know: Phoenix’s hold over her is more dangerous than ever.
The race to find the one thing that could tilt the balance of power brings them all to the sacred mountains of Jordan, where Violet’s power will be pushed to the extreme. And the ultimate betrayal exposed.
Enticed is the second compelling book in The Violet Eden Chapters.
