There's A Book

This fabulous weekly recap is hosted by Shelia of One Persons Journey Through a World of Books and the kidlit version is hosted by Jen from Teach Mentor Texts. Each week we recap what we’ve read and look at what’s coming up this week. If you’re interested head over to Shelia’s site as well as Jen’s and get involved! It’s a blast and I may even stop by to see what you’re up to!

Here’s what we’ve been up to this week:

This last couple of weeks have been crazy! I was on a panel at the Central Coast Writer’s Conference, I signed with my fabulous agent and ever since I’ve been frantically editing my manuscript. It’s been a whirlwind to say the least. I”m excited, busy and crazily attempting to do anything and everything all at once. If I make it through the next week it will be a miracle, but I’m loving it!

Oh! And besides all the craziness there were even a few minutes to write a couple of reviews and participate in Bloggiesta!

  1. The Raven Boys! I’m dying to chat with people who have finished it. I’d hate to give any spoilers, but there are things she reveals that I just loved!

  2. Katya says:

My husband grabbed Raven Boys first so I have to wait (impatiently) another couple of days for him to finish it.
Diverse Energies looks interesting. I’m looking forward to reading your review.

What a week you have had!! My grandson started 4 year old kindergarten a couple of weeks ago and I knew I had to share a special moment with you. The teacher was talking about books and how they come from the library and my grandson piped up right away, “no they don’t the U.P.S. man brings books right to my grandma’s house for me.” “She blogs you know!” I was laughing so hard I almost peed my pants.

    Congrats on your adventure ahead!!!

  4. Ooooooooooooooooooo Paradise. I can’t wait.

  5. Turkeybird and Littlebug’s books look like fun! I see 2 alternate fariy tales there. I love those!

I must find a copy of This is Not My Hat, ASAP. My favorite book this week was Dr. Seuss: The Cat Behind the Hat by Caroline W. Smith. Please come see what I’m reading now.

Hi Danielle, not sure if you’ve covered these in the past but I’ve just read and LOVED YA- The Changeling by Phillipa Gregory, and recently finished and LOVED, Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo, and Girl of Fire and Thorns by Rae Carson. Also reading and loving the series – Grass For His Pillow by Lian Hearn. Great adventures all, with strong young protagonists.

  9. I am finally getting around to some of the Monday posts! It has been pretty crazy with the Banned Book Week festivities and hosting all the giveaways… fun but crazy. I wanted to tell you happy reading this week :)

  10. I just started The Raven Boys last night, hopefully I’ll finish it by the weekend. It sound promising! :)
