There's A Book

This fabulous weekly recap is hosted by Shelia of One Persons Journey Through a World of Books and the kidlit version is hosted by Jen from Teach Mentor Texts. Each week we recap what we’ve read and look at what’s coming up this week. If you’re interested head over to Shelia’s site as well as Jen’s and get involved! It’s a blast and I may even stop by to see what you’re up to!

Here’s what we’ve been up to this week:

Another crazy week has gone by and more exciting news continues to roll in. Last weekend I was able to attend the San Francisco Writer’s Conference with my agent and a few other incredible writing folks I love. Now to get back to work, especially since I’m now an Assistant Literary Agent with my agent, Pamela Van Hylckama Vlieg. I’ve got more exciting news coming, but that’s all I can share for now. I’ll let you all know as soon as I can, but until then lets keep the reviews rolling!

Ooh! Rabbit vs. Lion looks fun! I just finished Timmy Failure and thought it was hilarious. Looking forward to hearing what you think!

Ever since I brought home Flora and the Flamingo, L has become extremely interested in ballet. So, we’ve been reading quite a bit of ballet themed books like Angelina Ballerina and Ella Bella (which if you haven’t read Ella Bella books with Littlebug yet I highly recommend!). As for me, I’m re-reading Abel’s Island by William Steig and plan to start The Runaway King by Jennifer A. Nielsen this week.

Flora and the Flamingo is on display at our store and I should read it. Flipping through the pages, it looked fun and different!

  8. Maria says:

I know that they say not to judge a book by it’s cover, but the covers of those picture books are gorgeous! I love the bright, bold trend that we seem to be seeing in alot of these new titles :)
