About

There’s A Book is a site created for the purpose of sharing a child’s love of books as they grow. The following is a little bit of information about our contributors and what their interests are:

Turkeybird – “So, if I had my way I’d spend most of the day reading and learning out of my activity books with my mom, but sometimes she wants to read. When that happens I spend my down-time doing typical boy things. I love my train set, legos, tools, and of course anything with wheels (cars, trucks, planes, helicopters, etc.). I’m also an avid baker and I love making anything with chocolate when my dad (the Baker) will help me. Other than that, I’m a normal two (almost three) year old boy who loves running, the outdoors and just being crazy.”

Freight Train by Donald Crews

Littlebug – “Well, I’ll put this simply, if I can put it in my mouth and chew, it’s the best thing ever. My big brother , the Turkeybird himself, is my absolute favorite person in the world (besides my dad of course) and everything he does is just amazing. I’m a jabber-jaw who can’t stop babbling and my parents expect my first word any day now. I love to learn and know one day I will love reading just as much as everyone in my family.”

The1stdaughter – I’m a mother of two wonderful children, The Turkeybird and Littlebug, just under two years apart in age. I love to read, write, watch movies, play the flute, listen to music and just enjoy life. My love for my children and my love of books has merged and meet here on this site. Since the time I was very little I loved to read. The first book in a long line of favorites was Socks by Beverly Cleary. I remember never wanting to put it down and I have regained that love of books with the birth of my two children. In my endeavor to ensure that I carry this tradition of reading on in our home I will always fill it with books that make you dream, laugh, think and so many more things. This site is designed to help the others of you out there in search of the same thing find what you are looking for. We hope you enjoy what we have to offer.
