Challenges

Here’s where you can find out all about the challenges the kiddos and I are involved in and how they’re coming along. Keep checking back for more updates!

Thank-300x300

We will be participating in the Thankfully Reading Weekend, which will start on Friday, November 27 and end on Sunday, November 29, in an effort to take some much needed relaxation time. We are planning on finishing up a few books and getting caught up to get ready for a cacophony of reviews that are coming.

100_Reading_Challenge

The goal for this challenge is to read 100 or more books and seeing as we read all sizes of books and at least 3 a week this one should be a breeze. We have from January 2010 to the end of December 2010. Come back later to find out what we’ve read and read our reviews!

library-readingchallenge

Right now the kiddos and I buy most of the books that we read, but in an effort to show our support to our local (wonderful) library we are participating in this challenge. We are starting out this year at the “Just My Size” level with a plan to check out and read at least 50 library books this year. We have from January 2010 until the end of December 2010. But next year we may end up going to the top level “Super Size Me”, but we’ll see how we do this year first.

YA_Readingchallenge

This challenge is just for The1stdaughter and because of the new blog I’m starting off with the “Just My Size” level. This means from January to December of 2010 I plan on reading at least 25 Young Adult novels, although it’s likely I will read twice as many with a plan to post at least one review a week. Check back to read reviews and see what looks great for your next read.

2010debutauthorchallenge

This challenge objective is to read a set number of YA (Young Adult) or MG (Middle Grade) novels from debut authors published this year. The plan is to read at least 12 debut novels!
